A total of seven organizations – one based in Wakefield the others in Lynnfield – will benefit from the proceeds raised at the October 29th event: The Angel Fund, the Wakefield-based organization that battles ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The participating Lynnfield nonprofits are: Gathering Change, Lynnfield Rotary, Lynnfield Athletic Association, Lynnfield Historical Society, Lynnfield Educational Trust, and Friends of the Lynnfield Library.

Kings also noted that in six months, these local nonprofits will be invited back to receive a donation from a portion of all games bowled during that period. This is expected to amount to as much as $10,000, on top of the money raised at the opening event.
