Esther is a Midwestern transplant, who moved to Boston in 1990 to attend Lesley College’s Graduate School program in Expressive Arts Therapy. She fell in love with New England and decided to stay on the East Coast. She moved to North Reading in July 2010 with her husband, Chris, and stepson, Eli.

Esther attended the Harvard Extension School’s Publishing and Communications program in 2003, where she earned a Graduate-Level Communications and Publishing Certificate, with a Journalism Concentration. She has published freelance pieces in The Boston Globe, The Weekly Dig, EdgeBoston.com and in various Community Newspaper Co. media outlets. She reported full-time for theBillerica Minuteman, where she covered everything from local government to arts. She is presently a freelance writer for the Daily Times Chronicle and a part-time copywriter and social media strategist for Cottage Advisors, a real estate office and developer in Wells, Maine.

Her passions include writing, song writing, guitar playing and fiddle playing and everything artistic and creative. She keeps her hand in human services by working with elders at a supported-living community in Arlington.
