Annual spring fundraising event is largest of the year for the school, with proceeds helping to provide classroom materials.
On Saturday, April 27, the Summer Street School’s PTO hosted its largest fundraiser of the year at the Ferncroft Country Club. The fiesta-themed event featured a fun and festive atmosphere with delicious food, a DJ and dancing, over 70 silent auction items and close to 40 raffles. The primary goal of the event was to raise funds for student enrichment programs, as well as for much needed materials in the classrooms. On behalf of the fiesta fundraiser committee, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lynnfield community, local businesses and families who generously sponsored our event and donated silent auction and raffle items to help make our fundraiser a huge success. Cohen also happens to be married to Lynnfield native Lauren (Ellerin) Cohen, who herself once graduated from Summer Street School. Lauren is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Philip Ellerin, also of Lynnfield. Cohen, a Framingham resident, is a former college athlete who founded Playing It Forward in 2009.
