Bishop Feehan Beats Lynnfield, 21-7 In MIAA Super Bowl Game

The Lynnfield High School Pioneers came up short in their MIAA Division 3A Super Bowl game against Bishop Feehan Saturday night at Gillette Stadium, 21-7. Both teams entered the game with 9-2 records. Lynnfield advanced to Saturday night’s Super Bowl game following last Tuesday’s 35-14 win over Amesbury. And less than two weeks ago, the team also capped their regular season with a 14-7 Thanksgiving Day victory over North Reading. Bishop Feehan scored in the first quarter and kept the lead throughout the game. Feehan also led Lynnfield in all offensive categories in the first half. Tonight: Real Time Blog Coverage Of LHS Super Bowl Action

Patch.com staff will run a live blog Saturday night at 8 p.m. on Lynnfield Patch as LHS makes its bid for a division championship.

Earlier this week, many locals joined us for a real-time account of Lynnfield High School's victory over Amesbury, which set the stage for Saturday night's MIAA Super Bowl final. Game time at Gillette Stadium is 8 p.m. On Saturday evening when LHS takes the field, you can follow every play here on Lynnfield Patch, with coverage provided by Attleboro-Seekonk Patch Editor Jonathan Friedman. Karavetsos Sr. "Couldn't Be Happier For These Kids"

Two Lynnfield High School Class of '85 grads have sons playing on the 2012 Division 3A Super Bowl-bound team.

With an eye on this weekend's MIAA Division 3A Super Bowl game, I inquired around town to try to find some photos, articles, or old news clippings about past LHS football teams that made championship bids. A visit to the Lynnfield High School Library on Thursday found a couple of yearbooks from the mid-1980s - and found back in 1985 was a great Lynnfield story angle waiting to happen. Several photos of that year's LHS football team revealed a familiar name - Mike Karavetsos - the father of the current LHS captain and quarterback with the same name. Karavetsos, Sr., a member of the LHS Class of '85, played defensive end for the team, and currently works for Hood. He is also a former coach for Lynnfield youth football who fondly remembers …

LHS Football Takes On Bishop Feehan Saturday In Super Bowl Game

Following Tuesday night's victory over Amesbury, the LHS Pioneers are heading to the MIAA Division IIIA super bowl on Saturday night. Patch.com will again provide real-time blog coverage.

The Lynnfield High School Pioneers defeated Amesbury, 35-14, Tuesday night in Lowell to advance to the MIAA Division IIIA super bowl game against Bishop Feehan. Last night, Patch.com staff were on hand to provide real-time blog coverage of the action. A full transcript of the game coverage can be viewed here. Looking ahead to Saturday, we will once again offer real-time football coverage as LHS tries to win the division championship. The game is at 8 p.m. at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

Lynnfield Beats Amesbury In Division Playoff Game

Pioneer football team wins 35-14 over Amesbury.

Lynnfield High School advanced to the MIAA Eastern Mass Division IIIA final game on Tuesday with a 35-14 win over Amesbury. The Pioneers will play the winner of the Dighton-Rehoboth/Bishop Feehan game that  was getting started in Taunton later in the evening. Following their 14-7 win over North Reading on Thanksgiving Day, the Lynnfield High School football team is heading to a Division 3A tournament game against Amesbury on Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. The game is at Cawley Stadium in Lowell, and Patch.com staff will be providing real-time coverage of the game. Fundraiser For LHS Football Program Sept. 24

Print out these attached vouchers and dine at the Ninety Nine in Lynnfield from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 24.

Coming up on Monday, Sept. 24 - dine at the Ninety-Nine Restaurant on Salem Street in Lynnfield between 5 to 9 p.m. and with the attached vouchers, 15% of your check goes to the Lynnfied Pioneer Football Club. Organizers report that along with your meal, that 15% also applies to bar, take-out, and gift cards. Also, there will be a raffle table featuring various themed baskets with items donated by the football families - gourmet basket, candy basket, summertime fun basket, lottery ticket basket, movie night basket.
