Journeys of Hope Inc., a North Shore non-profit, will host its third annual "Dining for a Cause" event at the 99 Restaurant in Lynnfield on March 25 to benefit homeless and at-risk young adults ages 18 to 23 years of age from North Shore communities. Pat Campbell of Lynnfield, a member of the board of directors, will host this event at the 99 Restaurant, 317 Salem Street, Lynnfield from 5 to 10 pm. The 99 Restaurant will donate 15% of the guest check to Journeys of Hope for dine-in or take-out orders for each party that presents the attached event voucher. The Journeys of Hope day program provides: assistance for emergency shelter referrals, clothing, food and other basis needs; advocacy and case management, offering on-going support and …

The following is an announcement from Journeys Of Hope: Local Lynnfield resident and retired Lynn Public Schools educator, Pat Campbell is rallying support for homeless teens through her work with the North Shore non-profit, Journeys of Hope. The concept of homelessness is often associated with large cities, and with the adult population. However, what doesn't often come to mind is homeless youth, of which there are an estimated 990 living in the North Shore. In 2007, Lynnfield resident Pat Campbell and board President and founder Andrew Acampora were part of a group looking to assist these homeless youths. "The original concept was rooms upstairs for kids to stay," Campbell said, "with desks and chairs downstairs for classes." However, Campbell explained that once the group began conducting research, a different concept developed.
