Meet Laura Pizzuti-Gamache, whose creative work includes writing a blog for the Natick Mall.

It's not always easy to find the right item for everybody on your shopping list - and when that's a problem, one person that Boston-area shoppers can turn to is Laura Pizzuti-Gamache. She is a Lynnfield resident who writes a blog for the Natick Mall at NatickMallGuru.com. Pizzuti updates the blog several times a day with videos, photo and other content. "It's me putting my personality in this," she said. "The goal is to help remove some of the typical stress of the holiday shopping season," she said.  "I want to help people find the gifts they want, offer suggestions if they have no idea what to get and try to find terrific options at the best prices. Sort of like a personal shopper for the holidays." Pizzuti had auditioned online for a …

Five Tips On Shopping Local This Weekend 12/9

During the month of December, Lynnfield Patch will run weekly notes and observations about local holiday shopping ideas.

Between now and Christmas, local Patch websites will be taking a look at some of the local shopping ideas you can find in town. Here are this week's ideas: Local Art: This weekend’s Lynnfield Art Guild Show and Sale may be one of the best opportunities this month to find some great locally-made crafts and artwork at reasonable prices. It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Old Meeting House.  Shop Here, Get Gas: One holiday shopping bargain spotted around town: The Post Office Square Mobil has a sign advertising a $10 ExxonMobil gift card for anyone who buys $100 in gift cards. Given how expensive gas is these days, there’s worse deals to be found. For The History Lover On Your List: Here’s another idea for that loved one from …

More recently, Noel and Michael DiMattia, who grew up in Lynnfield and now lives in Reading, have collaborated on a new re-mix of the single. "He fell in love with Wish You Were Here on my Christmas album and he really wanted to do more beats and give it a more happy and spirited vibe," said Noel. The Lynnfield resident works with Futura productions in Boston and thanks to technology, does not need to fly to Los Angeles as …

For example, consider these: 99: The Ninety-Nine Restaurant on Salem Street has been a popular local destination for some four decades. And according to the company’s website, if you buy $25 in gift cards from them, you receive a $5 bonus card. LHOP: Right down the street from the Ninety-Nine and just about as well established in town is the Lynnfield House of Pizza. It’s Greek pizza, subs, salads and more. Fat Cactus: The Mexican restaurant on Route 1 has apparently brought its Sunday …
