Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, May 17 and Sunday, May 19. On Friday, May 17 at 1:04 a.m. police took a noise complaint on Windsor Road. It turned out to be neighbors trying to start a generator. At 6:31 a.m. an accident on Condon Circle was reported. At 3:16 p.m. some youths were reported on the roof at Summer Street School. The principal spoke with them before police arrived. At 7:21 p.m. a suspicious person was reported sitting on the sidewalk near Pocahontas Lane. He turned out to be resting while walking to North Reading. At 7:43 p.m. a suspicious green truck was reported on Lynnbrook Road. It turned out to belong to a nearby resident. That is the 4th drunk driver to crash into the Kimball house since 2005. There was another accident in 2003 when a driver fell asleep at the wheel and in the early 70s there was a drunk driver being chased by the cops and he also crashed into the house.   more ›

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14. On Monday, May 13 at 7:42 a.m. a caller reported two men fishing on her land on Pillings Pond. At 9:53 a.m. a vehicle was reported vandalized at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Post Office Square. At 5:04 p.m. a hit and run accident was reported on Olde Towne Road. At 8:55 p.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported in a neighbor's driveway on Lowell Street. It turned out to be a friend of the neighbor. On Friday, May 10 at 7:44 a.m. a Williams Road resident reported that a flock of plastic flamingoes had been left on her property. The plastic birds are part of an annual fundraiser for local Destination Imagination students. At 5:01 p.m. a caller reported receiving harassing phone calls from a telemarketers who reportedly ignored her requests to stop calling. On Monday, April 29th at 12:40 p.m. a fire alarm was set off by food on the stove at Center Village. At 3:20 p.m. a homeowner on Salem Street reported that somebody had dumped some hypodermic syringes in his driveway. At 4:18 p.m. police took a report involving threats. At 6:19 p.m. an officer gave a verbal warning for speeding near Haywood Farm Lane. Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, April 26th and Sunday, April 28th. On Friday, April 26th at 11:20 a.m. police took a report involving phone harassment. At 11:20 a.m. an unattended death was reported on Main Street. At 6:20 p.m. a suspicious man was reported walking on Elliott Street. He turned out to be a solicitor without a permit. At 8:24 p.m. a security guard at the MarketStreet Lynnfield project reported that a car had struck a fence and then driven off when he approached it. However, the vehicle reportedly left its front license plate struck in the fence. The plate was traced to a Maine address and the matter was under investigation as of Monday.
