Last Chance: Interested In Being A Host Family?

Local families sought to host students this summer from China, Hong Kong and Spain for stays of one, two or three weeks.

The EF Educational Homestay program is looking for local families interested in hosting students from overseas for stays of one, two or three weeks. The North Shore is expecting students this summer from China, Hong Kong and Spain. The students attend English classes each morning and field trips in the afternoon. The program offers a weekly stipend for host families, and the program is supported by round-the-clock staff. For more information, visit the EF Educational Homestay webpage.

Last Chance: Ladies Only Golf Class Begins May 2

Lynnfield Community Schools offers variety of adult education classes each year.

The following class offering from Lynnfield Community Schools is scheduled to begin in about a week: Ladies Only Golf In Lynnfield Learn to golf or improve your game at Lynnfield’s own Reedy Meadow with just the ladies. Classes will include instruction especially for woman, and in all phases of golf from learning the correct grip to golf etiquette. Emphasis will be place on the correct use of woods and irons, in addition to concentrating on chipping and putting. Minimum of four ladies needed to run the session. Get a few of your girlfriends together and spend some quality time outside and learning to play golf. Please note which session you would prefer on your registration form. Last Chance: Upcoming Lynnfield Community Schools Classes

A look at some of the upcoming offerings from Lynnfield Community Schools.

Here are some upcoming offerings from Lynnfield Community Schools. Call the LCS office at 781-334-5814 to register or learn more. After School Spring Golf begins May 15 and runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. The course is at Reedy Meadow Golf Course and costs $125. This Tuesday, April 10 there is a Home Alone Red Cross course for young people focusing on the proper safety methods when home alone. Class is Tuesday 1 to 4 p.m. at Summer Street Elementary School. On Thursday, April 12 at Summer Stret School, LCS has a paint-n-party scheduled for 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. The fee is $14.

Last Chance: Various Adult Ed Classes Start Soon

Lynnfield Community Schools has a variety of adult education classes starting up. Here's a handful that start in only about a week, with registration time rapidly running out.

Here are some of the adult education classes that are set to begin later this month with Lynnfield Community Schools. In many cases, decisions are made a week in advance on whether a class will be held or not - so don't hesitate to sign up for a class if you're interested in one. You can call 781-334-5814, email LCS@lynnfield.k12.ma.us, or stop by the Lynnfield Community Schools office at LHS. GET FIT – A class for those who want to start or restart an exercise program but don’t know where to begin. We will start slow, progressing as we get stronger.
