The Centre Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ, is an open and affirming church--meaning all religions,More sexual orientations, ages and political parties are welcomed to worship at its weekly services. The church dates back to the 1700s, when the congregation met in the Lynnfield town meeting house. The church's current building, located  in the center of town on Summer Street, was built in the 1960s. The church performs baptisims regularly on Sundays, hosts wedding services, teaches a weekly Bible school and holds weekly youth groups for middle and high school students. Its members participate in missionary programs all over the world and volunteer at local programs such as the Bread and Roses festival in Lawrence, MA and My Brother's Tabe in Lynn, MA. The church also runs the Tower Day School, a preschool and kindergarten.

Our Lady of the Assumption School is a private Catholic preschool, kindergarten, elementary and middle school affiliatedMore with the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. Built in 1961, the school was originally founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. The two-story school building is on tiny Grove Street, tucked away from nearby Salem Street and Route 1. Students attend the OLA from Lynnfield and other surrounding communties, including Saugus, Peabody and Lynn. The school's motto is: L.I.F.E - learning inspired by faith and excellence.

The Tower Day School is located behind the Centre Congregational Church, on Summer Street in the center of town.More Although the school is owned by the church, the preschool and kindergarten are not religiously affiliated. The school runs a preschool morning session from 8:30am to 11:30am, an afternoon session from noon to 3pm and a full-day preschool from 8:30am to 2 :30pm. There is also a full-day transitional kindergarten for four year olds and a kindergarten program for five year olds from 8:30am to 2:30pm. The school year runs from Labor Day through June, and registration begins in January for the following year. Sally McDonald, the school's director, has run the Tower Day School for the past 25 years.

In addition to a weekly Sunday School for children, St. Paul's offers a five-day-a-week preschool called The Bethlehem School, which serves about 80 children. The church shares a strong relationship with St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Chelsea, Mass., and parish members regularly staff the St. Luke's Soup Kitchen. The church also hosts regular Bible study groups on Wednesday mornings.
