Our Lady of the Assumption School is a private Catholic preschool, kindergarten, elementary and middle school affiliated with the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. Built in 1961, the school was originally founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. The two-story school building is on tiny Grove Street, tucked away from nearby Salem Street and Route 1. Students attend the OLA from Lynnfield and other surrounding communties, including Saugus, Peabody and Lynn. The school's motto is: L.I.F.E - learning inspired by faith and excellence.
