Wakefield Repertory Theatre Presents 'Meet Me In St. Louis'

Performances this weekend and next. Click here for ticket and play info.

Based on the heartwarming film of the same name, Meet Me In St. Louis takes audience members on a musical journey back to the early 1900’s, on the brink of the World’s Fair. In the show’s center are the Smiths, a humble middle-class family made up of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, their four daughters Rose, Esther, Agnes, and Tootie, and their son Lon. With the addition of romantic suitors, comedic misunderstandings, and jovial pranks, this musical is filled with nonstop entertainment. Memorable musical numbers include “The Boy Next Door”, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, and “A Day In New York”.   Wakefield Repertory Theatre’s production features local actors and is directed by Steve Atwater, with music direction by Joseph Nuccio.

The show will be presented on September 27 & 28 and October 4 & 5 at 8pm, as well as Sept 29 and Oct 6 at 3pm. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students/seniors. The show will be presented at Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon St, Wakefield, and features local actors. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.ticketstage.com/WRT or by calling (781) 245 – 1173. More information on the show and the group at http://www.wakefieldrep.org
