The 10th annual OD’s Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, September 22nd 2013, in memory of Johnny O’Donnell. The road race and walk will begin and end at Lynnfield High school, starting at 10:00 a.m. (registration begins at 8:30.) This professionally timed event includes awards to the top three runners in each age division (M/F), raffles and t-shirts to first 150 pre-registered. Pre-registration fee is $15 and $20 on day of event. All proceeds to benefit the John O’Donnell Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by Sports Medicine North and Friends. Looking to Friday at 3:30 p.m., the library has a Mid-Autum Moon Festival (The traditional Asian harvest festival of Thanksgiving) featuring stories, a lantern craft, and a snack of tea and mooncakes.
