Monday Essentials: Several Activities For Young People This Week at the Library

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Monday, August 12. Here are five things worth knowing today.

The Lynnfield Library has several family-friendly events this week, including Bring Your Own Lunch and Lego on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m., and on Friday, a root beer float party at 2 p.m. and a Young Adult Foodie Friday gathering at 3 p.m. where participants will make the Rice Krispies treat “coal.”

The selectmen hold their August meeting a week from tonight, Monday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. at town hall.

Registration is still underway for the Lynnfield Community Schools Early Release Wednesdays Program. Registration deadline is Sept. 3, 2013. Registration form available at this link.

From the Lynnfield Senior Center: Today is the last day to register to bring your grandkids to the senior center on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The day starts with a game of Bingo, followed by a Pizza Lunch with and Ice Cream Social. Then it's magician Eric Benton. Tuesday, August 20th. The show is free but you must sign up by August 12th. Lunch is served at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00 and you must sign up for lunch  by noon the day before.
