Friends of the Library Book Sale Is Saturday

A look at what's coming up in and around Lynnfield.

Today is Monday, October 14. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

The Lynnfield Library is closed today for Columbus Day - But coming up this Saturday, October 19 – The Friends of the Lynnfield Library hold their annual used book sale at the Old Meeting House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. From 1 to 2 p.m, there’s also a “Bag of Books for $6” sale. The preview event for Friends members is Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

From the Lynnfield Senior Center: Dr TJ Macari will be here to discuss Osteopathy, a form of alternative healthcare. Osteopathy promotes healing through the practice of manual and manipulative therapy. It has been shown to help treat many conditions, including diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritic problems and more. Tues. Oct. 29th at 12:30. Free. Please sign up. Lunch is served at 11:30 for $2.00/$3.00. You must sign up for lunch by noon the day before.

The Wakefield Walk to Defeat ALS is this Saturday, October 19 at 10 a.m. at Lake Quannapowitt. Information about getting involved and/or making a contribution is available at this link

The Arts Collaborative of Wakefield is teaming up with businesses on Albion Street for the Arts on Albion next weekend, October 19 and 20. Free art demonstrations, music, exhibits and creative family activities are planned. Learn more about it here
