Centre Congregational Church Holds Charity Turkey Drive
Church members and youth group students volunteered and collected turkeys for Haven from Hunger, a Peabody food pantry.
Church youth volunteered Sunday morning at the , accepting turkeys from church community members to benefit Haven from Hunger.
The food pantry and soup kitchen is open four days a week at 71 Wallis Street in Peabody, where those in need can pick up the turkeys, along with canned goods, fruit, vegetables, and meat.
Peter Zorzonello, Treasurer of Haven From Hunger, was loading turkeys onto the back of his truck Sunday with help from his son, also named Peter, and high school students Kerry Morrissey from Lynnfield and Samantha White from Peabody.

Local supermarkets also donate food to the pantry, Zorzonello said.
It's the eighth year the church has held the turkey drive, said Carrie Pericola, leader of the church youth group.
