Earlier this week, Lynnfield resident Mary Desir (middle, right) helped Boston Marathon legend Bill Rodgers (middle, left) unveil the 2012 Boston Marathon street banners.
Mary’s photo was selected by race sponsor John Hancock to represent Boston Marathon fans, in one of eight designs that will line several streets in Boston until the race, scheduled for April 16, 2012.
