Lynnfield Edged in Division 4 Title Game at TD Garden

Bishop Connolly dominated the final quarter to take over and hold on for a 65-62 win on Tuesday afternoon.

Lynnfield High School hung tight with Bishop Connolly for much of Tuesday Division 4 state championship game, but the Pioneers eventually fell, 65-62, on the parquet of TD Garden in Boston.

Adam Buchanan dropped in 19 points, Patrick Kearney chipped in 15 of his own and Conor Sullivan added 10 markers, but it wasn't enough for the locals.

"It's a wonderful experience to be here, but make no bones about it we came here to win and we came up short," said head coach Scott McKenzie. "But this is something where I will walk out of here a proud man because I get to share a locker room with 13 phenomenal kids."
