LETTER: Thank You For Supporting LHS Athletic Programs

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

In the midst of start to the spring  athletic season—Lynnfield High School’s student athletes took time out of their busy schedules to participate in one of our annual fund-raising events.  On Sunday, April 7 over 100 students canvassed Lynnfield’s neighborhoods on behalf of the Lynnfield Athletic Association (LAA) soliciting donations from residents in support of the athletic programs and scholarships at Lynnfield High School (LHS).  In addition to providing several scholarships every year to LHS seniors, LAA offers assistance with other important things like uniforms, transportation, trophies, and much more.

Tag Day is a wonderful way for our students to participate in our fund-raising efforts, but perhaps more important, it provides an opportunity for all members of the Lynnfield community to feel a personal connection to, express their appreciation for, and take pride in the accomplishments of our local high school sports teams. 

On behalf of the LAA Board of Directors, I thank everyone—students, volunteers, and especially our generous donors—who contributed to our very successful “Tag Day” fund-raiser.
