Cervizzi's Martial Arts Teacher Running Boston Marathon For BCH

Sensei Janice Corkhum, who teaches at Cervizzi's in Lynnfield, will run fourth Boston Marathon this spring.

Sensei Janice Corkhum teaches karate at Cervizzi's Martial Arts in Lynnfield and her blog posts on fitness and martial arts appear regularly on this website.  This spring, she reports that she'll be running her third Boston Marathon this April for Boston Children's Hospital.

In this photo, she is shown with her patient partner, Cameron, an 8-year old heart patient who reportedly just underwent his fourth and hopefully final surgery. "He has more energy than all of us," said Sensei Janice in an email.

Corkhum's goal is to raise $5,000 for Boston Children's Hospital by running in this year's Boston Marathon. To learn more or to make a donation to her fundraising page, click here.
