Carriere Finishes 10th at U.S. Figure Skating Championships

Wakefield figure skater, 24, was among those competing for shot at U.S. Olympic team.

Wakefield's Stephen Carriere finished 10th in the men's division at this weekend's U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Boston. 

As noted in this report earlier in the weekend, Carriere started the weekend with a Friday with a 12th place finish in the men's short program. Carriere, 24, followed up on Sunday in the free skate final with a ninth place finish. 

Overall, Carriere earned a total score of 203.25 in the competition, for the ninth place final finish. Jeremy Abbott and Jason Brown were the top two men's finishers, while Gracie Gold and Polina Edmunds were the top two finishing women.
