Bishop Feehan Beats Lynnfield, 21-7 In MIAA Super Bowl Game

Kyle McGah had lone Lynnfield touchdown with two yard run.

The Lynnfield High School Pioneers came up short in their MIAA Division 3A Super Bowl game against Bishop Feehan Saturday night at Gillette Stadium, 21-7.

Both teams entered the game with 9-2 records. Lynnfield advanced to Saturday night’s Super Bowl game following last Tuesday’s 35-14 win over Amesbury.

And less than two weeks ago, the team also capped their regular season with a 14-7 Thanksgiving Day victory over North Reading.

Bishop Feehan scored in the first quarter and kept the lead throughout the game. Feehan also led Lynnfield in all offensive categories in the first half. Isaiah Douglas made  a23-yard run into the end zone, resulting in a 7-0 Bishop Feehan lead. QB Tommy Romero rushed for his team’s remaining points, with a 10 yard TD run in 2nd quarter and then in the 3rd, a 36-yard run on a 4th and 1 quarterback fake.

Lynnfield scored its lone touchdown in the second with a two-yard run by Kyle McGah.
