Plans Underway For 23rd Annual LHS Post Junior Prom Party

This year's junior prom is April 26th. Post prom party provides a fun and chemical-free way to keep kids safe.

The following was provided by the parents of the LHS Class of 2014:

Plans are underway for the 23rd Annual Lynnfield High School Post Prom Party, which follows the Junior Prom on April 26, 2013.

For those of you new to this event, the concept of the Post Prom Party is to keep our children safe and off the roads on Prom night by providing them a safe, chemical-free place to continue their festivities with their friends and classmates.   It is available to all students of the Class of 2014, and their guests.  Over the years, this event has proven to be extremely successful, in fact over 95% of those attending the Prom stay for the Post Prom festivities.  The students not attending the Prom are welcome to attend the Post Prom.

This year, all expenses will be funded through donations, and are well worth the parental peace of mind.  The money raised will be used to supplement the expense of bus transportation, to and from the Prom(no driving or limos are allowed), decorations, food, and entertainment, including the ever popular hypnotist show which is not to be missed!

Junior parents/guardians should have received a volunteer/donation letter in the mail.  If you have not received this letter, please contact one of the co-chairs listed below.   In addition, this party cannot take place without the support of our entire community.  If you do not have a student who is a junior, but would like to support this event, please send your contribution to LHS Post Prom, c/o Lynnfield High School, 275 Essex Street, Lynnfield, MA 01940.

Thank you in advance, for helping to make this year's Post Prom Party a success.  If you would like more information, or would like to assist in the planning, the next meeting for the Post Prom Committee will be January 23, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Lynnfield High School Media Center, or you may contact Maria Piazza @ 781-334-3119, or Kim McRae @ 781-334-4063.

I somehow doubt that proms have changed that much where kids would prefer to go to a milk and cookies party after the prom and not get drunk and deflower themselves.

The post prom parties have been a huge success for years providing our children a fun, safe and healthy alternative to after pro activities. We all k Owen s are a right of passage, however they can also have a deadly endi g for some. The after prom party has provided a safe place for our children. My girls have attended and had an Incredibly fun time to look back on years later. Each year they adopt a different theme and the efforts of the parents to pull this event together is unbelievably awesome. Please support this event and be thankful that the parents of our children care enough to dedicate their time and efforts to keep our teens safe. Prom time sees the loss of life every year....let's make sure our kids are safe.
