The following was provided by the LHS Cheer Squad:

A steady stream of over 200 diners poured into Prince Pizzeria, Saugus, last Tuesday, October 9, in support of the Lynnfield High School Cheerleaders.  Several teams and organizations:  Lynnfield Youth Cheering, Lynnfield Youth Football and Soccer; LHS Varsity Football and the Lynnfield Historical Society were on hand to lend their support, wish the girls success and enjoy their favorite meals.

The "Giggles" room was crowded as guests vied for generously donated raffle and silent auction items taking time out only to mangia Prince Pizzeria's Italian specialties and trademark pizza. Overflow diners supped in other areas of the restaurant but regularly returned to keep an eye on their auction item bids, to socialize and gaze longingly at the baskets of bounty offered up through the raffle.

On behalf of the entire team, Captains, Zoe DeGeorge and Stephanie Grimaldi, along with Manager, Tiana Maylor, would like to thank their friends, family and other well-wishers for helping to fund their competition season. Special gratitude is owed Steve Castraberti, owner of Prince Pizza who generously donated a gift certificate to the raffle as well as a percentage of the meal bills back to the squad.

With this last successful fundraiser behind them, the girls are now devoting 100% of their efforts to the competition season, which began with a Halloween Invitational Cheering tournament on Sunday, October 21 at Medford High School.
