Part Time Technology Support Position Announced

The following is an announcement from the Lynnfield School District:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with diverse technology knowledge who possesses strong communication skills, is a self-starter, and performs work independently.  

Qualifications:

•   Knowledge of Microsoft and Apple Client Operating systems and Apple iOS

•   Experience with Microsoft networking protocols, procedures and server platforms

•   Advanced knowledge of Office application productivity software suites

•   Understanding of internal network and infrastructure configurations including Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts and configuration standards

•   Understanding and configuration knowledge of Cisco and Sonicwall products.

•   Understanding of telephony infrastructure, both PBX and VoIP

•   Experience with supporting end users in a domain environment

•   Excellent organizational and communication skills

•   Excellent team skills

•   Personal vehicle and valid license

•   IT certifications highly recommended

Description:

This position will report to the IT Systems Manager and include but is not limited to the following functions: Support day to day functions of end users technical support requests; assist in updating and maintaining servers and network infrastructure both wired and wireless; coordinate needs with vendors and consultants and work in conjunction if applicable; work as part of the IT team making best practice and industry standard recommendations. Prior experience in a school system is helpful.
