Starting on Tuesday, October 8, the town's various PTOs will hold forums at the various schools in Lynnfield to discuss the search for a new superintendent of schools. A community forum is Thursday, October 10 at 7 p.m. at the Middle School. This previous article on Lynnfield Patch contains a full schedule of the forums.
Meanwhile, the school district has also indicated that the online survey mentioned in a previous announcement is now available to town residents.
The following was provided by the Lynnfield School District:
During this school year, the Lynnfield School Committee will be conducting a search for a new Superintendent to begin in Lynnfield on July 1, 2014. As part of the process, we will gathering feedback from stakeholders in the community. The Committee will be gathering information on what people see as the strengths and challenges in the district over the next several years as well as the qualifications, background and characteristics that people believe the next leader should possess to be successful in Lynnfield. The information will help inform the School Committee as it goes through the process of selecting a superintendent. It will also be helpful information as a new leader takes the helm in the district.
An on-line survey is currently available for members of the community to provide feedback to the School Committee. A link to the survey can be found on the homepage of the district website under the “News” section. The Lynnfield Public Schools web address is www.lynnfield.k12.ma.us.
The Committee invites all members of the community to participate in the survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete. The survey will be available until October 31.
The School Committee is looking forward to the community’s input as we begin the process of identifying the next leader of the Lynnfield Public Schools.
