Local Elementary Students Split On Presidential Election

Students at Huckleberry Hill and Summer Street elementary schools in Lynnfield held their mock presidential election on Monday.

Students at Lynnfield's two elementary schools got an early jump on voting Monday by casting ballots in a mock presidential election.

If the election results suggest one thing about the real deal on Tuesday, it's that we can expect a close one. At Huckleberry Hill Elementary School, the kids backed Barack Obama over Mitt Romney, 207-158. Over at Summer Street Elementary School however, they went for Romney over Obama by a 219-194 margin. Looking back to the 2008 election, John McCain was reportedly the favorite of Lynnfield schoolchildren.
