LHS Students Raise Funds To Fight Breast Cancer

LHS students raised funds for Susan G. Komen Fund for the Cure to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The following is an announcement from the Lynnfield School District:

During the week of October 17th, 2011, The Women’s Room Club of Lynnfield High School raised money for the Susan G. Komen Fund for the Cure in an effort to promote breast cancer awareness and contribute to research efforts.  The members of the club sold pink ribbons, pink lollipops in the shape of the ribbon, and urged the entire school community to wear pink on Friday, October 21st.

Also contributing to the cause were the students from the differentiated learning classroom who operate The Taco Shop; they sold pink smoothies on Friday.  Overall, $274.50 was raised!  Thanks to the entire LHS community for supporting such an important cause.
