LETTER: LAA Tag Day Is This Sunday

Athletes from all of the Lynnfield High School sports will go door to door seeking donations to help Lynnfield Athletic Association keep up its work.

On Sunday, October 14, all Lynnfield High School athletes from all seasons will be going door to door seeking donations from the Lynnfield community. We ask for support to ensure that LAA can continue its work on behalf of all LHS athletics teams. Nearly two-thirds of all LHS students are involved in LHS sports.

The Lynnfield Athletics Association (LAA) is a booster group that provides financial support throughout the year for every team at Lynnfield High School. LAA purchases uniforms, equipment, trophies, and other basic items. LAA also sponsors scholarships and athlete awards. LAA events also include the annual July Fourth Road Race.

We are also in need of time and talent during the year. Volunteers can sign up for a one-time job or take on a major project. We appreciate any level of  help, so we ask residents to please consider volunteering time for the LAA. Anyone who wishes to volunteer should contact me for more information.

Residents can visit the LAA on the Lynnfield High School website under Athletics to learn more about what we do. We also invite residents to visit the LHS gym to view the new trophy cases and championship banners. Come to a volleyball match, a football game, a track meet, a soccer game, or a field hockey game this fall or attend a sporting event this winter or next spring to see LHS athletes in action.

Please support our athletes by making a donation on Sunday, October 14, from 12-2 PM. If you won't be home and would like to support LAA, donations may be made to LAA and mailed to 275 Essex Street, Lynnfield MA 01940. We are a 503(c) so all donations that you make are tax deductible. Without the support of the community, LAA cannot continue its work on behalf of all LHS teams.
