The Boy Friend takes place on the French Riviera during the Roaring ‘20s and features romance, lighthearted comedy, catchy melodies and lots of fun period dancing, including, of course, the Charleston.  The show opens at Madame DuBonnet’s finishing school, where Polly, a young English heiress, falls in love with Tony, a delivery boy.   Recalling her father’s admonitions to beware of fortune seekers, Polly conceals her true identity and claims to be a secretary at the school.  Unbeknownst to her, Tony also has secrets about his own identity that he is not sharing.  Further complications arise as Madame DuBonnet welcomes visits from Polly’s father and Lord and Lady Brockhurst.  By the end of the evening, however, all is resolved and a happy ending is assured for all.

Cast members for The Boy Friend include Meaghan Collins as Polly, Brian Reid as Tony, Delaney Callahan as Hortense, Amy Sokolow as Dulcie, Kim Purisky as Fay, Lexi Orphanos as Maisie, Gillian Cowen as Nancy, Marielle Robert as Madame DuBonnet, Matthew Solomon as Bobby, Lucas Shaw as Percival, David DePalma as Alphonse, Lane Snover as Lady Brockhurst, Ed Selector as Lord Brockhurst, David Sarnevitz as Marcel, Chris Boone as Pierre, and Abby Stewart as Waiter.  Caprice Girls are played by Angelina Benitez, Colleen Ellison, Alexa Gilmore, Cassandra Puglisi, Mia Sievers, and Alex Zappala.

Ensemble includes Alicia Badolato, Stephanie Cresta, Annie Dillon, Ada Maymo Costa, Kendall O’Connor, Sabrina Ornae, Emily Smith, Emily Stiller, and Leeanne Wallace.  Dance Chorus includes Alicia Badolato, Kendall O’Connor, Baylee Priestley, and Leeanne Wallace.

Special appearances will be made by senior Anne Welch and new faculty member Joseph Puleo, who play Tango Dancers.  Other faculty making cameos include Robert Cleary, Kevin Cyr and Michael Moresco, who will play Boys.

Tech and Crew members for the performance will include Chris Boone, Daniel Braconnier, Harry Fogarty, Jack Fogarty, Aaron Gates, Joe Maglio, Melody Mancinelli, Adam Ornae, Derek Owen, Nick Romano, Alec Vittum, and Jaclyn Walsh.
