Town Yard Waste Center Opens Saturday

Center opening Wednesdays and Saturdays until Nov. 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The following is an announcement from the Lynnfield Department of Public Works:

Spring has arrived very early this year and the DPW would like to announce that the Yard Waste Collection Center located behind the Town Hall will be open beginning Saturday, March 24 to Lynnfield residents only who have current recycling stickers.

The Center will be open each week thereafter until November 30 on Wednesdays and Saturdays only from 7:30-3:00pm each day to accept brush, tree limbs, grass clippings and leaves.

The Center cannot accept any limbs larger than 6 inches in diameter and is not open to landscapers, contractors or vehicles with commercial plates.
To use the Center you must have a current recycling sticker (currently red in color) which is good until June 30th, 2012.  Next year’s Recycling Center sticker will not be sold until June 18, 2012.

If you need to purchase a recycling sticker you may do so by stopping by the DPW Office located at Town Hall before entering the Recycling Center.  On Wednesdays and Saturdays they may also be purchased from the attendant at the Center.
