Scott Brown Joins Boston Law Firm

Former U.S. Senator expected to focus on business, governmental affairs and commercial real estate.

Former U.S. Senator Scott Brown has joined the Boston law firm Nixon Peabody LLP.

According to a Monday announcement from the firm, Brown will focus on business and governmental affairs relating to the financial services industry and also on commercial real estate.

“During my time in politics, I never hesitated to reach across the aisle to work with members of any political party to secure a preferable outcome. My approach is consistent with the way Nixon Peabody does business and I believe we can be successful together," said Brown.

Brown left the Senate in January after he lost his re-election bid to Elizabeth Warren. There was some speculation soon after that he could end up running in the current race to finish John Kerry's term. During last year's re-election campaign, Brown stopped in Wakefield the week before election day and he is a graduate of Wakefield High School.
