School Building Authority Approves LHS Addition

Two-story classroom and science lab addition planned for Lynnfield High School.

The Massachusetts School Building Authority board of directors voted this week to begin the process of schematic desgin for a two-story classroom and science lab addition to Lynnfield High School.

An announcement from MSBA Chair Steve Grossman and Executive Director Katherine Craven indicated that the authority will be working with the Lynnfield district to create detailed renderings that will determine the precise scope and budget of the proposed project.

“This is a very exciting stage in the MSBA process," said Grossman. "The schematic designs that will be produced will give us our first look at the potential future addition of the high school. They will help us narrow the scope and budget of the project so that we can be sure the final product is efficient, sustainable and affordable."
