PHOTO: Tisei Opens Campaign HQ In Lynnfield

Former State Senate Republican leader challenging U.S. Rep. John Tierney in 2012 congressional race.

On Saturday, Republican congressional candidate Richard Tisei opened his campaign headquarters on 932 Lynnfield Street, near the Goodwin Rotary. In this photo provided by the campaign, Tisei is shown with State Rep. Donald Wong.

Tisei and has long been known to Lynnfield voters. He owns Northrup Associates Realtors in town, served as state senator and senate minority leader, and is a 1981 graduate of Lynnfield High School.

This wasn't the only bit of 6th District campaign news to come out this weekend. Tisei's Republican primary rival, Bill Hudak, who ran unsuccessfully against incumbent Democrat John Tierney in 2010, announced that he would be dropping out of the race to focus on a new business opportunity that has come up.
