Lynnfield Honors Its Veterans In Annual Ceremony

Annual ceremony included music from the LHS band and an honor guard salute.

On Sunday morning, Lynnfield residents turned out in honor of the nation's veterans at the annual ceremony on the town common.

"We are fortunate today to have many Lynnfield veterans who served from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, to the present-day conflicts in the Middle East," Selectman Bob MacKendrick told the gathering of local citizens.

Residents also heard from Reverend Dennis Bailey of Centre Congregational Church, Lynnfield Police Officer Matt Labonte, who is one of the town's two veterans' agents, and the LHS band, which played the national anthem.
