Less Than 5 Percent Turn Out for Lynnfield Election; Markey Wins Housing Authority Seat

Here are the results from Monday's town election.

On Monday night, Lynnfield voters went to the polls and chose a selectman, two library trustees and a new school committee member. 

Here are the complete results from the 2014 town election. With 9,273 eligible voters in town and with 403 total ballots cast, this year's turnout was 4.3 percent.

Philip Crawford was uncontested for the three-year seat on the Board of Selectmen, and he received 306 votes. There were 11 write-ins and 86 blanks.

Bonnie Celi, also uncontested, will serve three years on the Board of Assessors. Celi received 276 votes. There were two write-ins and 125 blanks. Richard O'Neil, Jr., with 315, will serve two years on the Board of Assessors. He, too, ran with no opponents. 

With 280 votes, Robert Calamari will serve as a Library Trustee for a three-year term.

Ann Miller beat Russell Boekenkroeger in the race for Library Trustees two-year term. Miller received 271, while Boekenkroeger brought in 88. 

Arthur Borque will serve as the town's moderator. He received 283 votes, and there were nine write-ins and 111 blanks. 

Pulling in 322 votes, the unopposed Charles Wills will serve five years on the Planning Board. 

Jamie Hayman, with 285 votes, got a seat for three years on the School Committee. 

Joseph Markey will serve for five years on the Housing Authority, winning with 85 votes to Michael Walsh's ten and Wayne Shaffer's five.

Gerald Shulman will serve for three years on the Housing Authority, and received 261 votes.
