Exam Coming Up For Public Safety Positions

Recruitment now underway for examination for municipal service police officer, state trooper, and MBTA transit police officer.

House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading) announced that a recruitment campaign is under way for the upcoming entry-level examination for Municipal Service Police Officer, State Trooper and MBTA Transit Police Officer.

The Human Resources Division will hold an entry-level written examination on Saturday, April 20, 2013 for the positions of Municipal Service Police Officer, State Trooper and MBTA Transit Police Officer. This exam is being held to establish an eligible list from which to fill Police Officer and MBTA Transit Police vacancies, as well as non-civil service Trooper vacancies in the Massachusetts Department of State Police.

The written test will be held on April 20, 2013 at various sites across the state. The application deadline for these three positions is March 18, 2013.  Please note that the requirements for each position may be different.
