Crawford Will Run For Three Year Selectman's Term
Lynnfield Select Board Chair Phil Crawford announced Monday night that he will run for re-election this spring to a full three-year term.
Crawford, a former vice chair of the town finance committee, was elected last spring to serve out the final year of the late Al Merritt's term. Early last January, Crawford announced his candidacy for the one-year term with this letter to town residents.
At the close of this week's selectmen's meeting, Crawford said that "we've got a lot of things on the agenda for the next year or two," citing the upcoming Phase 2 of MarketStreet Lynnfield, the possible town fields project, and the upcoming search for a new town administrator, following the expected retirement of Bill Gustus in a year or so.
"It's been an honor and privilege to serve on this board, and I would like to continue on the board if the town will have me," said Crawford.
The Lynnfield town election is on April 14th.
