Colleagues Honor Presser For Community Work

Along with chairing town school committee, Presser is also wrapping up term as president of Mass. Association of School Committees and is also president of the Suburban Coalition.

Colleagues took some time Tuesday evening to honor Dorothy Presser for her efforts at the local and state level to improve the education system.

At the outset of the regularly-scheduled school committee meeting, Presser was not aware of the surprise that was set up for her, complete with a cake.

"I don't know anybody in the town that knows more about local, state and federal education, and we're lucky to have her with us," said committee member James Fagan. "Dorothy always brings us back to what's really important - the kids in the district."
