Board of Health Participating in Emergency Preparedness Month

Town residents can sign up for Code Red alerts on town website, also advised to have emergency plans in place.

The Lynnfield Board of Health announced recently that it’s participating in the state’s “Together We’re Ready” campaign, which encourages people to plan ahead for possible emergencies.

September is Emergency Preparedness Month and information is available at this link on the state website.

Residents can also visit the town website to sign up for emergency and general Code Red alerts at this link.

Along with signing up for Code Red alerts, families and individuals are also advised to prepare a family emergency communications plan and to have a plan in place for possible needs such as evacuations or sheltering in place.
