The Lynnfield Board of Health announced recently that it’s participating in the state’s “Together We’re Ready” campaign, which encourages people to plan ahead for possible emergencies.
September is Emergency Preparedness Month and information is available at this link on the state website.
Along with signing up for Code Red alerts, families and
individuals are also advised to prepare a family emergency communications plan
and to have a plan in place for possible needs such as evacuations or
sheltering in place.
Lynnfield is also part of the Great River Valley Medical Reserve Corps, noted the board of health announcement. Those interested in medical and non-medical volunteer opportunities can call 978-490-6671, or visit www.GRVMRC.org.
