Woman Spots Attempted Vehicle Break-In

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1.

On Wednesday, October 31 at 12:04 p.m., a caller reported an attempted vehicle break-in at the Boston Sports Club. She reported that she saw a white male with a blue or black baseball cap and a blue sweatshirt try to enter her vehicle. He left when he saw her approaching.
At 12:46 p.m., police took a call from the Dunkin Donuts on South Broadway for an employee problem.
At 3:09 p.m., a caller reported a car illegally parked in a handicap spot in a parking lot on South Broadway. It turned out that the driver did have a handicapped placard, but it was sitting on the car seat.
At 8:09 p.m., police responded to a report of a domestic incident on Wheeler Street. They arrested John Coffey, 44, 5 Wheeler Street, Lynnfield, on two counts of assault and battery, domestic.
At 8:32 p.m., a Cedarwood Road resident reported her former boyfriend's new girlfriend was pounding at her door.
At 8:58 p.m. police dispersed a large group of youths from Chatham Way.

On Thursday, November 1 at 8:20 a.m. an Alexandra Road resident reported somebody had driven on his lawn, damaging bushes, the lawn and trees.
At 10:30 a.m. police arrested Jonathan K. Hahnl, 27, 617 Broadway, Lynnfield, on a warrant.
At 12:06 p.m., police took a vandalism report from Cedarwood Road.
At 12:30 p.m. police were called to Fantasy Cleaners for a report of a customer leaving without paying. A solution was worked out with both parties.
At 1:48 p.m., police took a walk-in report of a hit and run on Summer Street.
At 2:55 p.m., a crossing guard was reportedly lightly injured in the arm by a passing vehicle near Summer Street School.
