Three Arrests Made In Lynnfield This Week
The following information was supplied by the Lynnfield police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, Aug. 15 and Tuesday, Aug. 16.
On Monday, Aug. 15 at 12:25 a.m., police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Lowell Street. Soon after, they arrested Brian Shaffer, 43, of 524 Lowell St., Lynnfield, for domestic assault and battery and witness intimidation.
At 1:28 a.m., cleaners accidentally triggered a burglar alarm on North Broadway.
At 8:30 a.m., police learned of a vehicle lockout on Salem Street. It was handled by the fire department.
At 1:22 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Melody Lane. A rear door was found open, but the rest of the building was in order.
At 1:51 p.m., the fire department handled another vehicle lockout, this time at Lynnfield Woods Office Park.
At 4 p.m., a report came in of wires down on Dearborn Road.
At 4 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on North Hill Drive.
At 11:24 p.m., a Standish Road resident called to report a youth was at his door stating that he had just driven into his car. Police took the accident report.
On Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 3:33 a.m., a Roundy Road resident reported a suspicious vehicle, stating that a vehicle had parked with the lights off and that there was an individual with a flashlight. Police found a car with three youths and placed a 15-year-old Lynnfield girl into protective custody for heavy intoxication.
At 4:46 a.m., a Walnut Street resident reported someone in her driveway approaching her vehicle. It turned out to be an individual from a rollover crash nearby that involved injuries. One individual was transported to Salem Hospital.
At 8:22 a.m., a Lowell Street resident reported a damaged front door.
At 10:49 a.m., a Ledge Road resident reported finding a hypodermic syringe near the gate. The syringe was disposed of.
At 11:45 a.m., an Edgemere Road resident reported a damaged mailbox.
At 1:19 p.m., police arrested Mark Monkiewicz, 26, of 18 Temple Road, Lynnfield, for an out of town warrant involving traffic violations.
At 1:41 p.m., police arrested Gregory Motta, 19, of 11 Homestead Road, Lynnfield, for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
At 2:20 p.m. police performed a well-being check on a woman said to be acting strangely near Center Court. She turned out to be fine.
At 9:35 p.m., a Bishops Lane resident reported two German shepherds loose on his property. Animal Control came to retrieve them.
At 10:02 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Summer Street.
