Thieves Hit Multiple Vehicles Over Weekend
The following information was supplied by the Lynnfield police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service from Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24.
On Friday, July 22 at 5:28 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Saunders Road.
At 6:39 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Merrow Road.
At 7:16 a.m., a Mitchell Road resident called to report that the contents of a wallet had been left on his front lawn.
At 7:55 a.m., a motor vehicle accident with no personal injury was reported on Forest Hill Ave.
At 8:02 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Saunders Road.
At 8:55 a.m., a briefcase was reported left in the driveway in front of a home on Richards Road.
At 9 a.m., an attempted break-in was reported at the Lynnfield Woods Office Park.
At 10 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Richards Road.
At 10:01 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Thwing Road.
At 10:07 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Richards Road.
At 10:47 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Main Street.
At 11 a.m., a Main Street resident walked in to file a report about cushions stolen from the front porch.
At 1:05 p.m., police assisted an individual at Essex Village who needed help getting out of a car.
At 2:33 p.m., a Hidden Valley Road called about a car parked on the street for several hours.
At 4:05 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Country Club Drive.
At 5:28 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Driftwood Lane.
At 6:48 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported at the Christmas Tree Shop.
At 7 p.m., a Richards Road resident walked in to report a motor vehicle break-in.
At 8:13 p.m., police performed a well-being check on Fairview Avenue.
At 9 p.m., a caller reported a dog left in a car with the windows rolled up in the Fat Cactus parking lot. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 9:11 p.m., a Lils Way resident called with a fireworks complaint.
On Saturday, July 23 at 2:15 a.m, police received a report about a sign in the roadway near Grey Lane.
At 2:25 a.m., Lynnfield police and fire units responded to the scene of the tanker truck explosion on Route 1 in Saugus. Police assisted with the evacuation of homes near Route 1.
At 8:39 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Chatham Way.
At 8:57 a.m., police performed a well-being check at the Lynnfield Exxon after receiving a report of a man sleeping in his truck for several hours.
At 11:13 a.m., a Rourke Lane resident called about a vehicle parked on the street for several days.
At 11:22 a.m., a Lowell Street resident called to report a vandalized mailbox.
At 11:50 a.m., police took a walk-in report involving a larceny.
At 11:59 a.m., police responded to a situation on Wyman Way involving threats and soon after, arrested a juvenile for assault and battery.
At 12:52 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on South Broadway.
At 5:34 p.m., a Goldenrod Lane resident filed a malicious destruction of property report.
At 9:08 p.m., a Canterbury Road resident called about two vehicles that had used the access road to get to the nearby apartments.
At 9:33 p.m., a loud party was reported on Kings Road.
At 11:21 p.m., a loud party was reported on Robin Road.
On Sunday, July 24 at 12:29 a.m., a noise complaint was received from Robin Road.
At 11:56 a.m., an ATM alarm went off at Eastern Bank on Salem Street.
At 12:41 p.m., an individual called to report that he had been involved in a hit and run accident.
At 1:19 p.m., a Yorkshire Drive resident reported his lamp post had been damaged.
At 1:19 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Lowell Street.
At 1:57 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Sparhawk Drive.
At 2:01 p.m., a Yorkshire Drive resident called to report a damaged lamp post.
At 3:40 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Bourque Road.
At 3:56 p.m., police provided a lift assist to an individual at Essex Village.
At 5:38 p.m., police issued a summons to a 35-year-old Wakefield man for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
At 6:05 p.m., a motorist called to report an individual who was acting in an intimidating manner after an incident in a parking lot on South Broadway.
