Runaway Youth Found on Route 1

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, July 12 and Sunday, July 14.
On Friday, July 12 at 5:36 a.m. a large tree was reported down across the road and on some wires on Fernway.
At 11:17 a.m. a white Jeep reportedly struck a pole at the corner of Post Office Square and sped away. Police issued a summons to a 37 year old Lynnfield woman for leaving the scene of property damage.
At 12:22 p.m. an officer spoke to a man who had been dropping off flyers door to door.
At 1:31 p.m. police gave a verbal warning to youths who had been reportedly operating a golf cart on Daventry Court.
At 4:05 p.m. police sent four individuals on their way who had been fishing at Hawkes Pond off Walnut Street.
At 4:57 p.m. a Cortland Lane resident called about a man who came to the door selling magazines. A manager for the company came to pick up two solicitors.
At 9:17 p.m. a Pillings Pond Road resident called about construction noise from a neighbor’s house. The work stopped for the night.
At 9:32 p.m. police spoke with three youths who reportedly rang a doorbell on Bishops Lane and ran.
At 11:38 p.m. police took a call from Durham Drive about three youths who rang a doorbell and ran. The youths apologized and were picked up by their parents.
On Saturday, July 13 at 8:02 a.m. a stone wall was reported damaged on Wildewood Drive during the night.
At 2:04 p.m. an accident with no injury was reported on Salem Street near Eastern Bank.
At 2:39 p.m. police took a report of a lost Social Security card.
At 4:03 p.m. a loud music complaint was received from Essex Village.
At 4:41 p.m. a Hawkes Lane resident called about a neighbor who apparently made threatening gestures.
At 5:21 p.m. a solicitor was reported on Ramsdell Way going door to door.
At 5:32 p.m. a call came in about a solicitor on Westway selling magazines.
At 7:18 p.m. a Howard Ave. resident called about door to door solicitors.
At 8:02 p.m. a suspicious red gas can was reported on the road near Alexandra and Debston Lane. It was found empty and police suspected it most likely fell off a landscaping truck.
At 8:03 p.m. police took a larceny report.
At 8:10 p.m. a caller reported a speeding boat on Pillings Pond. An officer spoke with the operator on Island Road.
At 8:32 p.m. a child was reported walking along South down Route 1 North near the Fat Cactus. Police found the youth to be a runaway from Peabody.
On Sunday, July 14 at 8:05 a.m. a driver on Summer Street reportedly struck a telephone pole.
At 12:57 p.m. two men in green shirts on Mayberry Lane were reportedly going door to door saying they were selling windows.
At 8 p.m. police took a trespassing complaint from Walnut Street.
