Resident Says Garden Hose Was Moved

The following is an excerpt from the Lynnfield Police log:

Wednesday, July 27

  • Police performed traffic enforcement on Salem Street at 6:45 a.m.
  • At 9:01 a.m., a key was found in the road on Huckleberry Road.
  • A resident reported a suspicious person asking for money in Post Office Square at 10:13 a.m. Police were unable to locate. 
  • At 1:19 p.m. a resident of Salem Street reported to police, her garden hose had been moved and she thought that was suspicous.
  • At 3:15 p.m. a resident of Center Village told police there was a suspicious person going door-to-door asking residents if they needed work done on their cars. Police will perform extra patrols in the area.
  • Police responded to Saunders Road at 5:48 p.m. after a person told them he was bitten by a dog. The Animal Control officer took a report.
  • A fire was reported on Rt. 128 South at Rt. 1 at 6:03 p.m. Peabody Fire Department responded.
  • Police responded to a three-car crash at 6:23 p.m. on Salem Street. Five people were taken to Union Hospital with injuries.
  • At 11:36 p.m. police dispersed a group of youths on Main Street.

  • At 8:10 p.m. police dispersed a group of youths hanging out in Post Office Square.
  • At 11:02 p.m. a resident reported a group of kids playing basketball and being loud on Grove Street. Police moved the kids along.

Friday, July 29

  • At 4:01 a.m. a resident of Alderney Way told police she was hearing noises around her house. Police checked the property and didn't find anything.
