Who Says Five Bucks Buys Nothing At The Gas Station?

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 23.

On Friday, Sept. 21 at 12:15 p.m., a transformer fire was reported on Salem Street. Peabody Municipal Light was notified.
At 3:20 p.m., a suspicious van was reported driving up and down Chatham Way. It was gone on arrival.
At 4 p.m., police took a walk-in report involving threats.
At 8:39 p.m., police returned a package found on Condon Circle to the UPS facility.
At 11:34 p.m., a caller reported a group of youths making noise outside. They went inside for the night.

On Saturday, Sept 22 at 9:55 a.m., police issued a summons to a 17 year old Lynnfield man for violation of an abuse prevention order.
At 10:11 a.m., a motorcycle accident with no personal injury was reported.
At 8:40 p.m., some loud noises, possibly fireworks, were reported near Needham Road.
At 9:45 p.m., a man and two other people were reported going up to customers at the Lynnfield Gulf and offering to pump their gas for five dollars. Police sent them on their way.
At 10 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Ross Drive. It checked out OK.
At 10:30 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Robin Road.

On Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1:23 a.m., a cab driver called from near Hidden Valley Road to report a problem with a man and woman not paying their fare. An officer followed the cab to an address in Lynn where payment was made.
At 12:50 p.m., a minor accident was reported in Post Office Square.
At 7 p.m., police took a report involving unwanted text messages.
At 11:34 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Munroe Street.
