Postman Suspects A Fire, But Woman Was Just Burning Mail

On Monday, Aug. 8 at 7:50 a.m., police and fire personnel responded to a medical aid call on Lovell Street.
At 9:35 a.m., an accidental alarm activation occurred on Trickett Road.
At 10:28 a.m., police and fire personnel responded to Wildewood Drive after a report of a vehicle with a fuel leak.
At 12:27 p.m., there was a minor motor vehicle accident at Main Street and Route 128 South.
At 1:26 p.m., an East Huckleberry Road resident reported that the keys were stolen from her car Friday night.
At 1:52 p.m., police handled traffic control at Walnut Street and Bluejay Road.
At 2:36 p.m., a letter carrier reported black smoke from a chimney on Hart Road, as well as a burning smell. The resident apparently heard the report over her scanner and informed authorities that she was just burning some mail.
At 2:36 p.m., police assisted a motorist who drove off the parking lot behind the Lynnfield Medical Building.
At 3:40 p.m., a house cleaner accidentally triggered an alarm on Chatham Way.
At 6:20 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred on Condon Circle.
At 8 p.m., a resident of Carol Ann Road reported a suspicious man in front of her house. It turned out to be a neighbor with friends who were searching for a cat.
At 9:05 p.m., a loud party was reported on North Hill Drive.
At 9:29 p.m., police were informed that a pedestrian sign on Salem Street was knocked down.
At 10:22 p.m., police received a call about a suspicious man walking down Main Street. It turned the individual was on his way to Peabody and he checked out fine.
On Tuesday, August 9 at 2:32 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Candlewood Road.
At 2:45 a.m., police took a walk-in report involving a civil complaint.
At 4:23 a.m., a caller reported that a man was sitting in the street near . He was gone when police arrived.
At 10:36 p.m., a suspicious car was reported parked on Lovell Road, but it checked out fine.
At 11:38 p.m., a Bluejay Road resident called to report a woman screaming. All appeared to be in order when police arrived.
At 11:52 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle stuck in about two feet of water under the Route 1 tunnel. State Police were also notified.
