On Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 6:17 p.m., a Summer Street resident reported a political sign stolen from their home sometime during the previous night between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Resident wanted log entry only.

Monday, Aug. 27

1:13 a.m. Complaint of loud party on Village Row. Officer reports two adults playing music; they turned it off.

5:34 p.m. Officer made fourth attempt to speak to resident on Moulton Drive about a box truck being parked on town property. A certified letter will be sent to resident.

9:56 p.m. Caller reports loud group of kids at Center Court. Officer spoke with the kids.

9:57 p.m. Caller from Tophet Road reported hearing a loud bang outside the house and four kids then ran away. Officer checked area, unable to locate kids or any damage.

Tuesday, Aug. 28

3:14 a.m. Wakefield Police officers off with man down in the street with head injury on Main Street at Wakefield town line. Transported by BLS ambulance to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

8:42 a.m. Caller from Midland Road reports occupants of a blue pickup truck are trash picking. Officer reports the trash and recycling have been picked up, unable to locate the vehicle.

9:51 a.m. Report of suspicious man in Townsend Road home’s yard. Officer reports man was a tree company employee.

3:25 p.m. Traffic stop on Salem Street, a 23-year-old Lynn man was issued a summons on charges of unlicensed operation of a vehicle and no inspection sticker.

4:20 p.m. Larceny reported from Main Street.

7:13 p.m. Officers respond to 911 call of a domestic disturbance on Lake Street. Brian Morrissey, 34, was arrested on charges of assault, a second offense of OUI liquor and driving with a suspended license.

7:49 p.m. Caller from Chestnut Street reported two occupants in a dark colored four-door sedan were looking in his vehicle, they were just banging on his door. Left Chestnut Street towards Main Street. Officer did not pass vehicle enroute, vehicle gone on arrival.

8:30 p.m. Residents reported what sounded like fireworks coming from the Jordan Park area. Officer reports all quiet.
