Police Motorcycle Partnership Begins Today

Last week, Lynnfield Police Department announced partnership aimed at raising funds for a motorcycle.

Earlier in the week, this website from the Lynnfield Police about a partnership with the Kelly Automotive Group that aims to help the department get a motorcycle for traffic control and other purposes.

From there, I got some additional information about the deal while doing this at the Kelly Nissan dealership on Route 1.

According to Brian Kelly, owner of the Kelly Automotive Group, the partnership takes effect as of Wednesday, Feb. 1 and runs until further notice. Basically, any Lynnfield resident who buys a car at one of the eight Kelly dealerships will have $50 donated to a fund for the motorcycle.

Kelly has done similar fundraising efforts in Pabody and Beverly. In Beverly, the fundraising effort helped pay for an artificial turf field, while Peabody's program raised funds for the Higgins Middle School after school program after its state funding was cut.
