Police Log: Three-Foot Cat Ornament Stolen. Is Town Going To The Dogs?

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, April 29 and Sunday, May 1:

On Friday, April 29 at 12:43 a.m., police assisted a Center Village resident who had fallen.
At 8:28 a.m., police took a report involving a restraining order violation.
At 8:59 a.m., an Essex Street resident reported having two flat tires and was suspicious that it might have been done deliberately.
At 9:17 a.m., there was a burglar alarm on Main Street.
At 9:36 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Essex Street.
At 10:27 a.m., a Ford Avenue called about a speeding truck. The vehicle was not located.
At 12:37 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Edgemere Road.
At 1:47 p.m.,, there was a motor vehicle accident on South Broadway.
At 2:44 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on East Huckleberry Road.
At 6:03 p.m., police assisted with a disabled auto on Salem Street.
At 9:50 p.m., police cleared a group of juveniles from behind the Center Market.
At 10:33 p.m., a Country Club Drive resident reported spotting three teenagers leaving a car and approaching some nearby construction equipment.

On Saturday, April 30 at 1:12 a.m., police responded to a report of shots fired at the Fat Cactus Mexican restaurant on Route 1. Lynnfield Rescue units transported a male and female to Mass. General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At 6:40 a.m., a caller reported a Silver Audi that was operating erratically on Condon Circle.
At 8:23 a.m., police assisted a Wing Road resident who had fallen.
At 10:05 a.m., a Canterbury Road resident reported that a three-foot tall resin cat lawn ornament had been stolen from their front yard.
At 10:42 a.m., a citizen walked in to report a matter involving identity fraud.
At 12:33 p.m., police assisted a motorist with a disabled auto on Walnut Street.
At 12:44 p.m., a burglar alarm went off at Lynnfield High School, triggered by activities taking place at the time there.
At 12:53 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Salem Street.
At 2:05 p.m., a cab driver called from Summer Street to report a fare who had no money. From there, police arrested Michelle Testa of North Hampton on an out of town warrant.
At 5:50 p.m., a caller reported that somebody was shooting geese at Lake Suntaug. Police were unable to locate anyone.
At 6 p.m., police gave a verbal warning to youths throwing water balloons in the parking lot at Center Court.
At 8:54 p.m., a Hidden Valley Road resident reported several youths in the woods. They were gone when police arrived.

On Sunday, May 1 at 12:17 a.m., a New Meadow Road resident reported that some boys had been walking up the street with a baseball bat and that her son had been struck. Police arrested Michael Callahan, 17, of Lynnfield and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
At 1:05 a.m., a caller stated that a cabby had demanded more than their previously agreed upon fare, and that he was walking down Moulton Drive so the driver would not know where he lived. He also stated that the cabby had driven by several times.
At 10:50 a.m.,  a Wildewood Drive resident reported a dead raccoon in the road.
At 11:02 a.m., a Chestnut Street resident called about vehicles parked on both sides of the road. Police determined they were there legally.
At 1:58 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Wildewood Drive.
At 2:30 p.m., police took a report involving a restraining order violation.
At 6:23 p.m., police took a report involving malicious destruction of property from a North Broaday resident, possibly involving harassment by a neighbor.
