Police Log: So Did She Tip The Limo Driver?

Also, thieves struck unlocked vehicles on several occasions.

Lynnfield Police responded to the following calls for service the week of April 11 – 17, 2011:

On Monday, April 11 at 10:16 a.m. a citizen reported water coming up from the street along with an odor of gas near Sparhawk Drive and Walnut Street.
At 11:03 a.m., a burglar alarm was accidentally activated on Russet Lane by a house cleaner.
At 12:54 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Summer Street.
At 1:33 p.m., a break-in was reported on Winchester Drive.
At 1:37 p.m., a break-in was reported on Archer Lane.
At 2:44 p.m., a Locksley Road resident reported that people were fishing on his property. Police were unable to locate anybody.
At 5 p.m., police issued a summons to Thomas Riley, 59, of South Hamilton for operating with a suspended license.
At 5:29 p.m., a burglar alarm activated at Lynnfield Middle School. The building was secure.
At 7:18 p.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Wing Road. A CD player and some change were reported stolen.

On Tuesday, April 12 at 6:46 a.m., a vehicle break-in was reported on New Meadow Road, with papers having been thrown around.
At 7:08 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Edward Ave., with a GPS unit reported stolen.
At 7:22 a.m., a vehicle break-in was reported on Edward Ave., with a GPS unit reported stolen and papers thrown around the vehicle.
At 7:25 a.m., a vehicle break-in was reported on Edward Ave.
At 8:17 a.m., a citizen walked in to report a motor vehicle break-in.
At 8:50 a.m., a vehicle break-in on New Meadow Road was reported.
At 9 a.m., a vehicle break-in was reported on Edward Ave.
At 3:31 p.m., a Summer Street resident called about a tree that was hanging low over a nearby house.
At 4 p.m., a vehicle break-in was reported on New Meadow Road. The vehicle was reportedly ransacked but nothing was taken.
At 6:35 p.m., police took a report of a larceny at the Bali Hai restaurant.
At 9:30 p.m., police performed a well-being check on Beaver Ave.

On Wednesday, April 13 at 8:06 a.m.,  a motor vehicle break-in was reported on New Meadow Road.
At 1:45 p.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Olde Towne Road. Nothing was taken.
At 2:59 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Stafford Road. The building was secure.
At 5:25 p.m., an employee set off a burglar alarm at Custom Wireless on Salem Street.
At 5:35 p.m., a disabled auto was reported on 128 South at Exit 43.
At 8:45 p.m., a disabled auto was reported on Condon Circle.
At 10:22 p.m., police assisted a resident with getting back into their wheelchair.

On Thursday, April 14 at 1:14 a.m., police arrested Timothy Carney, 32, of Peabody for violating an abuse prevention order.
At 5:39 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Salem Street.
At 6:17 a.m., a burglar alarm went off at the Fat Cactus.
At 8:46 a.m., a burglar alarm went off at The Ship.
At 11:28 a.m., a motor vehicle fire was reported on Route 128 South.
At 2:49 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Tophet Road.
At 3:34 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Main Street, but was uninjured.
At 6:37 p.m., police took a phone report involving threats.
At 8:41 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Salem Street.
At 10:54 p.m., a Melody Lane resident reported an ongoing issue with a barking dog.

On Friday, April 15 at 2:42 a.m., a burglar alarm went off at the Village Pharmacy. An open door was apparently found at the neighboring candy shop.
At 11:32 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Salem Street.
At 12:37 p.m., a break-in was reported on Chatham Way.
At 1:40 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on 128 South in Wakefield.
At 3:05 p.m., a caller reported that youths were blaring loud music at Center Court.
At 3:06 p.m., police took a burning complaint from Longbow Circle.
At 3:37 p.m., police took a call involving a domestic dispute.
At 4:30 p.m., a Huntingdon Road resident reported a group of juveniles committing acts of vandalism and making noise.
At 7:50 p.m., a Salem Street resident reported finding a silver bike in the woods.
At 9 p.m., a Durham Road resident reported a group of youths had yelled obscenities at his wife when she drove by.
At 10:39 p.m., an outside fire was reported near Grey Lane.

On Saturday, April 16 at 6:32 a.m., an injured deer was reported on Chestnut Street.
At 9:35 a.m., a woman who was a passenger in a limo called police and expressed concern that the driver, who was changing a tire at the time, was impaired. The driver turned out to be fine.
At 11:38 a.m., a Salem Street resident reported a truck parked in a fire lane. Police determined it was parked legally.
At 3:15 p.m., the Lutheran Church called to report a letter it had received from California that appeared to contain an arson threat.
At 9:01 p.m., police dispersed a group of juveniles who were partying near Thomas Road.

On Sunday, April 17 at 8:55 a.m., a Yorkshire Drive resident reported that his fence had been damaged the previous night.
At 9:20 a.m., police responded to a domestic disturbance on Glen Drive.
At 11:59 a.m., the Colonial at Lynnfield called about several young men trying to enter the building.
At 6:18 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Route 128 South near the ramp to Walnut Street.
At 8:03 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on 128 North near Walnut Street.
